I have almost a month left for the real exam. My verbal scores are quite poor (around 30) and I'm wondering if I should read the CR bible with only a month to go before my exam?

I wonder if doing so will confuse me even further?

I'm inclined towards just practising more on CR.. what do you guys think??

Thanks!

depends on what you mean by practicing - if you're not naturally good at CR, then you should use a system - i.e. first identify the argument/conclusion/assumptions if the question is a weaken/strengthen/etc type, then do xyz.

Then practice the system, and figure out which part you've having issues with - can't identify the correct conclusion, can't find the assumptions, etc and work on those.

With just one month left... just get your hands on all the official questions you can, and get a sense of what will be asked.
Develop your sense of "intuition." This way, by the time the real exam comes around, you should well versed at the way how question is asked and what is expected from you. By the way, intuition in this case really comes from experiences, that's why the emphasis is on the official questions, not from some wanna-bes. They will throw you off....

thanks jasonc, fatb. could you also recommend question banks/practice resources for the verbal section?
I've gone over the OGs a few times now and tend to remember the answers while practising.

If you've already exhausted the big orange book....
How about the purple book? "The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review"
I think it has some overlapping questions with OG11, though.
Another possibility could be OG10, it has more questions than the OG11.

Really no idea other than those two.....

Yup, OG10 has some overlapping questions and some that are different.
Personally I only really did OG11's verbal... and that's it for me.
I guess you can say that I didn't study hard enough

If your verbal is poor I would suggest concentrating more on SC. They give you the biggest bang for the prep since it's a standard set of grammatical rules which if you follow, will get you the right answers. If you havent used the manhattan SC gmat book already, make sure you do - it's the best.
