Last summer in Munich it rained on each of the first 12 days of the World Cup. If it rained on 25 percent of the rest of the days of the World Cup, how many days was the competition?

(1) It rained on exactly fifty percent of all the days of the entire competition.
(2) It rained during the rest of the competition for half the number of days it rained in the first 12 days of the competition.

Hi,

Let T be total no. of days
therefore total days it rained in the competition = 12+ 0.25(T-12)

1. 12+ 0.25(T-12)=T/2

SUFFICIENT.

2. 6 = 0.25(T-12)

SUFFICIENT.

D

Hope it helps.
