Let M be the maximum value and N be the minimum value of the expression (x^2 + y)/y. If a <= x <= b, c <= y <= d, then M â€“ N?

(1) c = 3
(2) a = -2, b = 5 and d = 7

We need to the value of M and N to answer M-N = ?
The equation given is (x^2/y)+1

1) Insufficient. We can not find the value for M & N
2) Insufficient. We don't know whether the value of y is positive or negative.

Both together is sufficient to answer the questions.
