It's straight E.

The best way to solve this problem is to visualize it. We have line k, which passes through the point (3, 2) and its parallel line m, which passes through the point (-3,2). If you draw one such pair and fix, then you can rotate them 360 degrees to get infinite number of lines with negative as well positive slopes.

shouldn't the answer be C? From 1 and 2, we have 2=3m+c and 2=-3m+c. Adding the two we get 6m=0, therefore m=0. This tells us that line k and L are straight horizontal lines. Hence, the answer should be C. Where am I going wrong? The OA E.

you are using the same equation for both the lines.. of course if a line goes through 3,2 and -3,2 it will be parallel to the x axis but that is not the question here

@ anandnat: the constants "c" may not be same. You have assumed the constants to be same for both the lines.
