I'm currently in the middle of apps and wanted to get your input. I've worked for a
1) bulge bracket investment bank (2 years)
2) a middle market private equity shop (2 years)
3) and now working for a start-up family business. Here I'm writing a business plan and presenting it to the Small Business Admin for seed funding.
My other stats are: 680 GMAT (over 80% on each section); 3.6 GPA University of Michigan. Other stuff I've done includes substitute teaching and volunteering as a Junior Achievement teacher at my old-high school.
I've applied to Wharton, Chicago, Michigan, Columbia, Yale. However, I'm getting the itch to apply to HBS. Unfortunately, I won't make the 2nd round deadline. Is it realistic for me to get in 3rd round. I figure that Harvard is so competative that I need a different angle anyways. By the March deadline, I'll be able to further discuss the results of the business plan, funding, etc...
I dont want to apply if my chances are below 25%. Any thoughts?
