I wanted to apply for the master's program of London Business School. But, i didn't understand who could apply for this programme as their websites mentions the following :
The Masters in Management is aimed at recent graduates who have less than one year of full-time postgraduate corporate work experience or less than two years of experience in a non-traditional business role, and the motivation and desire to build a strong foundation for a career in business.I have a family business background and i decided to ask the ad-com directly and their reply was the following:
The Masters in Management is tailored for recent graduates who are looking to embark on a management-oriented career and who have less than one year of relevant work experience or less than two years of non-business experience, and as you will have had more than two years of work experience by the start of the next intake you will unfortunately be ineligible.I started working in my family business from September 2012. By the start of the next intake (September 2014), i will have worked for 24 months (September 2012 - August 2014) and i will not have more than 2 years of work experience. So, how could i be ineligible? and i asked the ad-com the same.
Their reply was:
If you began working in September 2012, you will have two years of work experience when the programme begins in September, which would make you ineligible. Applicants cannot have over two years of work experience in order to be eligible for the programme. How can they say that i will have 2 years and more than 2 years of work experience in the same sentence? So, is the programme designed for candidates with <=23 months of work experience and not <=24 months of work experience? Can anyone explain this.
