I got 690 in GMAT. Score breakdown is Q50 V34. I got 7 in IR. I am an engineer and have 3 years of industrial work experience in one of India's largest private company. I am involved in the commissioning of world's largest petrochemical project. My GPA is 8.96/10 (It is based on 10 point scale). Please suggest which colleges I can apply. Also suggest if I should try to improve score to more than 720 or I should apply with my existing score.

Actually you should take it the other way round. Decide what you want to do after MBA or why do you want to pursue MBA and then look for suitable schools. 690 is a good score and almost every school admits students close to this score. So, it is rather a matter of your preference. For instance, 690 for an Indian is generally not sufficient for M7 schools, while it may be sufficient for Kelly.
