There is a big jackpot here tonight in the states - Thought it would be fun to figure out how to calculate odds on lottery tickets. What's complicated is that you can have people picking the same numbers. Please share to make this a fun way to learn combinations.

there are 6 numbers to choose from and 50 possible numbers

I think the total number of possibilities would be 50C6

and the odds would be 1 / 50C6

how would I calculate the odds of picking 1 correct number?

Would it be 50 / 50C6?
