Hello,

I juste passed the exam and got a 760(Q50V42) but an IR5. I want to apply in top B-school next septembre : Harvard, Stanford, MIT (to enter in september 2018).
I read some articles and posts from 2014 and 2015 saying that IR was taking more and more importance over years.

Are there new information on that point. Will this IR severly hurt my chances to get in or only slightly (though I understand that higher is always better than low). I'm not so sure to get another 760 next time if I had to pass it again, so would it be a good move to risk a 720 to get a IR7?

Hi treddo,

First off, a 760/Q50 is an outstanding score (it's right around the 99th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest is NOT necessary. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:

Hi treddo ,
A 760 (Q50V42) is an an excellent score (99 percentile) . IR 5 is an acceptable score especially when you have a 760 with Q50.
A 760 with IR 5 is better than a 720 with IR 7 .
