Low IR score for INSEAD  [#permalink]

Hi guys,

This is what one of the answers of INSEAD's FAQ page says:

"If you have reported more than one score to INSEAD, the Admissions Committee will still consider the full history of your GMAT attempts, but will place the greatest weight on the highest score you achieved. Also, if you have obtained a satisfactory percentile in one section of the test but a lower percentile in the other, and vice versa in a second test, the Admissions Committee may consider that you have reached a sufficient level overall, provided the second test does not show too significant a drop in the lower element. "

So I got a 660 in my first attempt (Q42 V39 IR7 AWA5) and a 740 in my second attempt (Q48 V44 IR5 AWA5). Now my issue is that my IR in my second attempt is lower than 6, which is highly recommended by INSEAD. Do you think this will be an issue or will my IR score of 7 from my first attempt do enough to compensate for my lower IR score the second time round?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t worry at all. I was accepted with an IR score of 3. Your GMAT score is not going to hold you back at this point.
Best of luck!
