M02 Q14, what if the X and y are negative?

From statement (1):

There are two options:

Option A: x = 3 y = 2,
Option B: x = 6 y = 1,

as xy = 6 and x > y. But we don't have enough information to specify which option is correct

From Statement (2) we can eliminate Option B, as now x has to be a prime number i.e. 3.

So using statements 1 and 2 TOGETHER we can obtain the values of x and y.

Answer is 'C'.
