In manhattan GMAT guides OG problems are divided by question types. What are the pros/cons of doing OG problems by type vs. mix and match (as they are listed)?

I am not sure if this topic has already been discussed on gmatclub. If yes, then please point me to that thread.

I first decided to finish the five MGMAT math books first, and then move on to the OG material. This was a mistake (for me, at least). Not only was I slightly burnt-out from finishing five difficult books, but I forgot much of the concepts. For me, it was better to reinforce the concepts learned in each chapter with question practice.

I agree with the above post. The reason I have been doing GMAT questions by section is to reinforce the concepts before moving on. There are so many concepts to remember and understand that you can easily forget it all by the time you are finished reading all the books. I'm even considering going back from the beginning afterwards and doing some mix and max to simulate what can be expected during the actual GMAT.

I was confused how to treat OG material. But you are right it should be used more as building material rather than test material.
