As far as what I understood from the german forums;

54 points over 60 for your GPA (I am not sure about this one, you need to calculate your german GPA. My GPA is 3.36/4 and my german GPA is 2.0 and I get 40 points for it)
12 points over 60 for your GMAT
TOEFL is irrelevant. They just assume that you know English if you have a GMAT score over 600.
2+2=4 points for your internships
22 points for your exchange

in total it should be around 92. In previous years the minumum points were around 75, so unless there is a drastic change you will be safe. Please be aware that this calculation is not an official one, and I calculated it based on what is said in student forums. Good luck!

I think overall you should have a good shot at Mannheim, your GMAT fits the Avg. of Mannheim (though a stronger core will help)
The CGPA is important, and as you have a good one, it should not be an issue.

The points for work experience depend on the places you worked for and the kind of internships you did.
Also study abroad experience always helps, so you are safe there.

So overall you have a good profile, and should have a good shot.

To get a more detailed evaluation you can check out https://mim-essay.com/profile-evaluation?gcf
Will help us analyse your profile better and give you more pointers.

hi concernedcitizen
Mannheim uses a very straight-forward system. A 2.0 German GPA gets 40 points over 60, a 2.1 gets 38, a 1.9 gets 42. Also for GMAT, every 10 points over 600 in GMAT, adds 3 points. It means, if you get 600, you get 0 points. If you get 640 you get 12 points.

As far as I know, they don't care if you are an international student or not, they just ask for the exchange semester. Such scoring is really stupid from my point of view, but it is what it is.

So you would get;
36 points for your GPA
39 points for your GMAT
2 points for your internship
Total=77. It is a very risky score to wait for Mannheim to announce admissions in late June.

But again, maybe there is an exception for the international students. If you can get those points, you can reach 99, which is a very safe score. You can get the most accurate information from the school, but they generally answer very late.

IMO, you have a great GMAT score, you can consider some other schools in case they say that they will not give those 22 points. You can actually target any school in FT MiM ranking with that score. Even HEC, LBS or St. Gallen is possible. In case you consider schools only in Germany, then you can easily make it to WHU and HHL with 730.

Hi Korhand ! Thanks so much for the evaluation!
By international student I meant I've compeleted my whole undergraduate study abroad(I came from a non-EU country and did my bachelor degree in Germany). However I'm not sure if it's the same as semester abroad :(
And yes thanks for your advice with schools. My main targets are german schools so I'm trying EBS and HHL right now and will consider other Business schools in Europe.
I'm starting at a quite late phase so hope I can still catch up with everything :)
Thanks again for your help.

No problem. I understood that, but as I said I guess they accept only an Exchange/Erasmus to qualify for 22 points. But again, the school will provide the most accurate info.

As you said, it is a very late stage for 2017 intake, so best options left in Germany are HHL and EBS as you said. I am almost 100% percent sure that HHL and EBS will offer admission with that score. (avg. is 620 in HHL). Good luck!

Re: Mannheim MiM (MMM) 2020 Intake: Calling all applicants [#permalink]
Guys, could you please evaluate my profile?

GMAT 700
GPA 2 out of 3 (1 is minimum to pass) from one of the most prominent unis in cis region
2.5-month internship in private equity abroad + 6 months of full time job in the middle office of an investment bank
Exchange semester abroad but I took exams worth only 15 ects (and 8 of them are not relevant at all). Will it count?

I've got an attractive job offer and I need to respond in a few weeks. Uni's decision will be announced later and I'm afraid I'll not make it to the program.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Mill,

GMAT: 30 points
GPA: 30 points (doesn't matter even if you have an HBS diploma :))
WE:4 points (Again, they care only the existence and the length of the exp.)
Exc: Normally 22 points. I cannot say if they will count it, you should contact the school, better if you just call them. Keep in mind, they take calls only a few hours a week, you can find it on the website.
IMO, they will count it.

Total (if they count): 86. Looks 95% safe. Without exc, you have 64, and it is almost impossible.

PS: My comments are based on a German forum which I provided the link of above. I translated it with google translate. However, this is not an official resource, so trust it at your own risk. :)

Good luck!

Hey iyilmaz,

You have a pretty decent shot. The exchange semester will give you some points. However, your GMAT is pretty low, so that will give you some reduced points.
For both Mannheim and TUM, you’ll have a pretty fair shot, about 65-70%.

For TUM and Cologne though a lot also depends on the essays.

So check out our Essay Editing page if you want to get some personalized assistance with your essays, which will maximize your chances of getting admission.

Sorry you took it wrong. I do not have exchange semester so I will not get those points.

So can you please re assess and let me know?

Hi I need someone to evaluate my profile for Mannheim MIM.
10th: 80%
12th: 93%
B.COM. (DU): 57%
I will be appearing for IELTS and GMAT this month itself and I’m expecting 8+ and 620 respectively. I know my scores aren’t that great but I still want to give it a shot. Thanks in advance.
