Marian Anderson, the famous contralto, did not take success for granted. We know this because Anderson had to struggle early in life, and anyone who has to struggle early in life is able to keep a good perspective on the world.

The conclusion of the argument follows logically if which one of the following is assumed?

The conclusion of the argument follows logically if which one of the following is assumed?

(A) Anyone who succeeds takes success for granted.

(B) Anyone who is able to keep a good perspective on the world does not take success for granted.

(C) Anyone who is able to keep a good perspective on the world has to struggle early in life.

(D) Anyone who does not take success for granted has to struggle early in life.

1. the original: IF (able to keep a good perspective on the world), THEN (not take success for granted)

2. B is clearly a rephrase of this link so B should be the winner.

Information in passage on which conclusion is based:
A: anyone who has to struggle early in life
B: is able to keep a good perspective on the world.

IF A then B

From this we can derive that
Anderson had to struggle early in life -> so she was able to keep a good perspective on the world.

But the conculsion says that
C: she did not take success for granted

So the assumption is to join the missing link between B and C.

So B

I will go with B. B clearly fills the gap by relating
Someone “with a good perspective on the world” and
Someone who “did not take success for granted”

Clearly B.

cause --> effect.

"struggle early in life" --> "keep good perspective on the world" .......<missing something>........... --> "did ont take success for granted".

The "missing something" is provided by option B.

Yeah B for me.

For a moment, I confused myself thinking that the conclusion is anyone who has to struggle early in life is able to keep a good perspective on the world.

As soon as I found out that the conclusion is MA did not take success for granted, I figured it is B
