Hi!

Would be great if you can evaluate my profile.

Indian Male
Age – 28yrs.
GMAT – yet to be given (mostly in Oct first week).
Currently filling online applications and writing application essays.

Education –
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai.
Batch of 2008. GPA – 3.5 – First Class

Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from Texas A&M University.
Batch of 2011. GPA – 3.8

Work Experience –
Full Time – 3.5 yrs
Part Time – 1.25 yrs (although some schools don’t consider this)

Currently working in a well established Architecture firm in Mumbai, for the past 1 year.

Certifications –
LEED Green Associate – certified by The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
Licensed Architect – certified by the Council of Architecture (COA), India.

I am looking for a one year full time MBA program, with primary concentration in Entrepreneurship and secondary concentration in Leadership.

Schools that I am planning to apply (in no order of preference) –
1. INSEAD
2. Cornell Johnson (Dual Degree)
3. IMD
4. ISB
5. Kellogg
6. Ivey
7. London Business School.

I am aware that the deadlines are very near and if I don’t achieve a good score I might have to apply for Round 2.

1. Does applying to Round 2 affect my chances of getting an admit?
2. How much score should I aim?
3. I am studying from the Official guide and Manhattan SC. Which other books do you recommend?
4. Any other schools, you recommend, which have one year MBA program?

Thank you for evaluating my profile.

- Deepen.

Deepen,

THanks for your post. To respond:

1. Assuming your GMAT comes in as anticipated and the quant isn't below 70%, you have a competitive profile for IMD and Ivey. The other programs would all be stretch schools, big stretches..

2. Round 2 will improve your chances if you have a better application.
3. I've heard good reviews of these texts. I really can't help you hear. Other members of GC would be of more help. Also use the Official Guide. If self-study isn't getting you the score you want, consider a course.
4. Emory.

Best,
Linda
