Would be interested in getting your thoughts on the decision at hand.

I have admits from Rice and Indiana and want to get into Equity Research/Investment Management Post-MBA. All things being equal - Which of these programs do you think would give me the best chance of getting into ER/IM post-MBA?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the OP is a current classmate of mine. ;)

But to answer this question for any prospectives... At Rice, there are a couple of alumni in NYC doing this, every year 1-2 go to TRS in Austin, some MBAPs are in ER/IM, and there's tons of connections in Houston. The CFA society and Young Professionals in Finance are ways to make connections outside of the school. The student-managed Wright Fund is a must. Its competitive to get into, but priority is given to those with a serious interest in ER/IM, and the faculty who oversee it are often able to help students network in the community.

No clue on Indiana.
