It was good - not enough people did their HW before asking their questions. Some of the questions were really stupid - I mean one person asked if B-Schools accept the SAT...I mean really?

Haha, I was in the presentation where that question was asked too. Pretty entertaining. Seemed like some of the people that attended were still deciding whether they were even going to go to bschool.

Hey all, Matthew from The MBA Tour again. Glad you found the NYC event helpful :)

Feedback about the "level" of questions is something I've heard before too, so I will pass it on. Obviously it's not something we have a lot of control over, but it's always good to know. Was there anything else that you feel could be improved?

@NYCAnalyst: how did the schedule feel in the end? Too rushed?

That's all. Thanks for coming to our events!

Reviving this...

I'm looking at the schedule for the MBA Tour in my area and it's 9A-6P, a full day event. What is the dress code like? Business casual? Business Formal?

Also, with the long schedule, is there any time to eat?? Thanks.

A bit late, but I'll respond.

1. Not enough top schools. Obviously I know that you are trying to appeal to a diverse group of people but if you have 4 x 30 minute information sessions, all of your people with good stats are going to see NYU, Cornell, and then wander around the hotel for an hour or so. In terms of quality of schools, the drop-off after Cornell is very steep. You have Rochester (which is a safety for many top applicants) and then what's the next ranked school? Fordham? CUNY Baruch? South Carolina?
2. Felt that the last guy (financial aid guy) was mainly there only to sell his book, and not really give any useful info about financial aid. For example, how much aid do the top schools give? He did not address that.
