I wouldn’t trust scores from any source besides official tests, but if you’re wondering how trustworthy that Q50 is, you’ll be the only person who can work out whether you benefitted from familiar questions or not, and how much that might have boosted your score

if your test is on Monday, there’s not too much you should be doing, you want to stay rested so you’re thinking well on test day. If you had more time, you could take an official test you haven’t done before to get a realistic score assessment. Good luck on test day!

IanStewart, Thanks so much for the clarity 😊 Keeping my fingers crossed. Hoping the test goes as close as possible to the mock. And thanks for the wishes.

Hi, I wanted to ask a query associated with official mocks provided on mba.com.
chevron down
Quote

I have been seeing questions that I know on the mock, have been scoring 700-770 in the last few mocks, but I doubt that it could be because I encounter questions that I know.

Even though new questions are there as well, but I wanted to ask if there is another source or if official mocks 3-6 would provide a more reliable score.

Would there be questions similar to the type of questions we have practiced on the main test?

can anyone tell that how many questions should be correct to get v39 score/?

The answer is, it depends. Based off the available ESR evidence, You could score a V39 with as few as 4 (counted) questions wrong, but as many as 10 (counted) questions wrong out of 30.

It would be really helpful if someone could tell if the main test consists of the type of questions in official guides and mocks.

You will not see same questions in actual test, but the test will test you in same skills, with varying level of difficulty with your performance

Official mocks are best to access your score as they use same algorithm as the real one and questions are also similar

yeah...really depends. 10 questions wrong can get you v25~ v45. GMAT is an adaptive test, remember that.

You have answer for improvement hidden in your above breakup. In RC check which type of questions are you getting wrong- inference or fact based? Check whether your score was bad because of paucity of time or because if lack of comprehension.

I think what it says is in case you want to cancel your exam at that time the billing address and Pan should be same. If you’re giving your exam you don’t need to bother, they just need passport for validation

I gave my exam in November and my scores went under administrative review. I received my scores after 20 business days and applied to my target bschool and have received an admit aswell. Today I have received an email from GMAC that my scores have been cancelled. Has anyone else faced this issue or can suggest the way forward to this?

Hello everyone, i gave my GMAT during November and received my official scorecard within a day itself, sent my scores to different schools in round 2 and I’m waiting for the shortlist to rollout and now after 2.5 months of receiving my official scorecard I get a mail stating that my scores are cancelled. Anyone else facing similar issue or can anyone suggest me a way forward?

I rang up examity guys over this issue and they told me that everything is clear from their side but there’s a comment mentioning "Long Storage" it seems that’s it even the examity customer care told that it’s beyond then and I need to take this up with GMAC.

It will depend where you’re applying -- different programs will weight factors differently

But in general, the reason MBA programs want GMAT or GRE scores is because they are much better predictors of success in an MBA program than undergraduate grades

so you’d normally be much better off with a high GRE/GMAT and weak GPA than with a weak GRE/GMAT and strong GPA, I’m sorry to say, though that won’t necessarily be true for every program

I am sorry, but we need way more information about your background. A GRE score in and of itself is not enough to determine which school is most appropriate. It’s more useful as a filter, so I would recommend checking the average/median GRE scores at the schools (this is publicly listed) to give you a sense for where you might be a candidate, to start.
