I find the MGMAT practice test verbal to be harder than the GMAT prep test verbal. Especially on the reading comphrension section. Also, if you get MGMAT verbal questions wrong, the answer explanations are not always the clearest, I found this true especially for the 700-800 level critical reasoning questions. I took the MGMAT course, and the instructors were sometimes stumped by the answer explanations.

As for the official guide verbal, there are definitely some bail out explanations, and with the GMAT prep tests there are no answer explanations. As a whole though, I think the MGMAT strategy guides prepare you well for the real test.

I agree ! I find the MGMAT test verbal section to be much harder especially the RC section where it takes forever to analyze some inference questions on long passages . How do your manhattan test scores compare to your GMAT prep scores in the verbal section ?
