I just accept it.

So what is the consensus on this? I still like A.

says the OA is A.

oa must be A, even tough it doesn't sound perfect. E is redundant :and/as well

(A) of drug dependency and others' prejudicial treatment as well.

(B) both of drug dependency and also of prejudicial treatment.

(C) both of drug dependency and also from prejudicial treatment.

(D) both of drug dependency but also from prejudicial treatment.

(E) both of drug dependency and of prejudicial treatment as well.

I go with E.

A: "and" and "as well" are redundant here
B: and also is not the correct idiom
C: not the correct idiom
D: not the correct idiom

E: correct idiom, but as well on the end does look suspicious

However, I came to E b/c of its use of the correct idiom. A uses "as well" w/ "and" too. Both A and E are essentially redundant here, but E is a much clearer and more idiomatic choice.

I think A is out because of the others' - had it been only "other" it would have been OK.

Most recovering heroin addicts seek to be free of drug dependency and others' prejudicial treatment as well.
Most recovering heroin addicts seek to be free both of drug dependency and of prejudicial treatment as well.

Having read thru all the explanations, both A and E have issues but E may be a tad better as the poster above have already mentioned about the use of 'others'.
