Hi Every one,

I am currently pursuing Master of Commerce in India. I am planning to do MSA after my Masters.the Undergraduate degree is a 3 year degree and I have to do either PG Diploma for 1 year or a Masters degree for 2 years to satisfy the eligibility criteria of 16 years of Education. I've heard that I would get 150 credits for CPA if I did Masters in Commerce. I want to appear for CPA exam in the first year of MS.I am expecting a GPA of 3.5 in Masters and I got 3.2 in my UG. I have few Questions to ask:

How much score should I get in GMAT for securing an admission in a good University?
Do I need to take any prerequsite courses for MSA because of the difference in the GAAP?
How to register for the CPA exam and How would I find whether I am eligible for the CPA course or not?

Regards,
Josh.

I think you should call the state that you want to obtain your CPA liscense in and ask them yourself. Different states have different rules on how they accept international credit units.
Your masters will most likely count towards your 150 units and thus, you should be fine just as long as you have the accounting and business units.

How much score should be secured in GMAT for an admission in a reasonably good University and Is it necessary to do prerequisite courses before entering in to main stream US accounting?

for some schools, you do not need to do pre reqs...

The best schools have a average gmat of 650...

However, for "reasonably good" schools, i think you only need around a 580-600

Any score above 600 will make you a good candidate for most MSA programs
