What kind of mistakes?

The revenue from pen sales was up 5%, but the revenue from pencil sales declined 13%. If the overall revenue was down 1%, what was the ratio of pen and pencil revenues?
105 + 0.87x = 0.99(100 + x)  6 = 0.12x  x = 50
So, the ratio is 2:1

Are there any other ways to solve this?

I get 5:2

It can be quite hard to study for the GMAT when you have to work full-time and every bit helps. This certainly helps quite a lot.

Thank you so much for your helpful flashcard. My maths ability is not very bad, but I haven't studied maths for nearly 4 years, so I almost forgot everything. Thanks to your flashcard, my maths ability was improved a lotttt in just 3 days ^^.
