I promised myself that I will post my experience no matter the result. I am happy to report that I scored 700 (47Q, 39V).
I ordered my
OG a year back in Sept 2005 and I didn't have a very solid study schedule. That hurt me very much because I became very stressed and I didn't know how to approach this test. In the last 1.5 month I became so tired of thinking about it that I paid the fee and scheduled my exam.
I had the honor to 'meet' a lot of intelligent and hard working people on this forum, and although I haven't been an active member I watched the evolution and the results of several members.
About my test:
I think it was easier than the GMAT Prep. Math became very, very easy towards the end of the section and I really thought that I wasn't doing very well. Verbal was decent and the difficulty level remained steady.
I was praying for 640 but I was lucky enough to get 700.
My study books:
OG 11
GMAT 800
Kalpan
Princeton Verbal and Math Workbook
I didn't have any standard deviation, combinations, permutations, probabilities. Just plain math.
Verbal was also easier compared to GMAT Prep.
I don't know if I was lucky or just very relaxed but I am happy with the result.
Last night I got home from work around 4.30 and I had a nap for 3 hours. I went out for dinner, came back and got another 10 hours of sleep. I felt very tired and I wasn't sure if I'm going to do well. But I told myself that I have to try and if I'm going to fail I will try again.
Good luck to all of you and take it easy.
The advice that helped me most: SET THE DATE!!!!!!
