Thanks to everyone. I am still in the process of framing the essays for INSEAD. Its a tough task and time consuming. If anyone one of you is planning to apply please make sure you give sufficient time. Fortunately I started early.

Just out of curiousity, if you don't mind answering.

What is your profile? Are you applying to any other schools apart from INSEAD (I am assuming you are applying for their Jan'12 intake)?

Hello ardk,

I have spent 10+ years in IT with around 3 years of international experience. Currently I am a project manager. I have an engg degree. At present I am planning a career shift and hence the MBA.

My priority is a 1 year MBA due to my age, exp and the fact that I have a family (with a kid). I do not want to spend too much time away from work and US MBAs are very expensive. For 1 year MBA, without doubt the best is INSEAD. But if that does not materialise I may have to look at LBS (LBS is definitely a good school but course length is 21 months). I am a bit circumspect about other schools.

I am currently looking at INSEAD Jan'12 intake.

Sounds good. INSEAD is a great place and one of my dream schools too. I guess LBS has a 15 month option too, but probably not ideal for career switchers.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress !!
