My RC is extremly poor. Everytime i start reading a passage i feel sleepy & just do not feel like reading anymore. I end up reading 1-2 lines from each paragraph & try to answer the questions.
Can you some one please suggest, some smart ways to developing interest & improving RC...

cheers

I would suggest giving a break and coming back when the hunger for good results is back. If you feel sleepy during your practice there is absolutely no point in practicing.

Hi,

I will strongly recommend you to read "How to read faster and better" from Norman lewis... read it before you start practising for RC of Gmat.

My speed was just 150 words per minute but after reading this book for 15 days, my speed touched whooping 550 words/min marks..

Not only speed increased but also the comprehension. Due to better speed, I am able to comprehend well-for the better concentration. This helps in my job as well.

Even I had that problem. I could overcome that feeling by practicing more number of RCs. RC 1000 has more than 400 RC passages. Enough material.

Also try to be curious about the content. Some of the passages are written extremely well, and have very interesting ideas.

Once you cross something like 100 passages, u wont have that feeling..I am sure.

Hi

My name is vishesh and iam facing trouble in excelling my RC , the major problem with my RC is that when i am reading any passage i totally get tossed in some other thinking and hence wont be able to comprehend the passage and if i do re-reading then it take a good amount of time

I read that amardeep was sugesting about some Norman Lewis's book , does it really work

Kindly suggest me the best way to improvise it as i am not having much time left for my GMAT

Why don't you try reading this RC strategy article I wrote -- showing you what's going on in my head as I read the passage and answer the main idea question?
