Hello all:

I have an appointment with a Chicago Booth professor this Friday. I introduced myself and he said he is free to talk this Friday.

I know we will have a general discussion on why MBA at this point, why Booth and all but did any of you guys go thru the same. Any guidance u guys can provide will be really helpful.

Thanks

I don't know that why MBA should be a central point of discussion with a faculty member, but maybe that's just me. I'd focus on the prof's specific area of research (do your homework in advance and ask relevant questions) and how that meshes with your post-MBA goals. Your main objective should probably be to find out more about the resources available at the school in your area of interest. A faculty's perspective would be helpful in that regard.

Thanks ariel.

I still have one question -- my interest is general management with focus on intl business, strategy, operations and the prof is a pure marketing prof. I got introduced to him through a freind of mine.

So, his area of research really does not align with mine. So, how do i continue the conversation ?

Marketing is very relevant to GM, maybe approach it from that angle.
