Hi,
Wanting to improve my SC part of the verbal section, I joined the TTP trial it was good but too costly for me. Is there any pdf (like grammar book on gmatclub) or free/affordable resources for Sentence Correction which cover everything from basics to advanced concepts?

You might also be interested in several of the topics and links found here, in the dedicated Sentence Correction Resources forum. (I have made a contribution or two myself.) I am of a mind that you have everything you would need to gain confidence and put in a quite respectable performance on SC questions after combing through such high-quality resources.

I would advise you to look further and get yourself a manhattan sentence correction book , its the best source available and you will see a good improvement , condition that you study it chapter by chapter and solve official questions as given at the end of chapters..

For GMAT Verbal, it is very important that you follow the right methodology and the logical approach. Your focus has to be on eliminating four incorrect choices rather than choosing the right one. The key is to develop a solid understanding of the concepts that are typically tested on the GMAT and master the process skills that are required to solve GMAT questions. Only then, you will be able to smartly avoid the traps set by the test makers.

Before you start learning, it's important to understand what is actually tested using the questions. Each module in Verbal (SC, CR and RC) has to be approached in a different way. Before you start learning the concepts of SC, you need to understand that SC questions on GMAT test your ability to convey the right meaning without any ambiguity. So, it's important to approach them from a meaning stand-point. You might have often come across answer choices which are both grammatically correct and convey a logical meaning but are indeed incorrect because they do not convey the intended meaning. So, the process to approach SC questions is to:
• Comprehend the original meaning of the sentence
• Identify errors if any (both grammatical and meaning wise)
• Eliminate answer choices which either are grammatically incorrect or do not convey the intended meaning

Is there a reason why you specifically wish to study from books? The reason I'm saying so is Books are not interactive and they can't give you feedback as to where you're weak and what you should next to improve your scores. Moreover the recall from a book is not that great. There are much better methods of learning than learning from books.

However if you still wish to learn from books I would recommend using Manhattan guides along with Powerscore Bible for CR. And ya the OG is a must. But I would recommend you to use the OG only as a question bank as it may contain GMAT like questions but its definitely does not help you prepare.

I wanted to check in. How are things coming along with TTP?
