After many searching, Now I just focus on manhattan and ninja video.

In that case you can get MGMAT Math Foundations. That starts with very basic stuff back in the third grade.

But it’s not correct thinking if you have Manhattan books. Most GMAT courses and Jim books out there are complete and the advantage they give you is that they only give you the material you need to know Without wasting your time on concepts you don’t need. So you should stop wasting time searching for materials and instead go to address the issue and go back to the chapter

You don’t even need videos. Those pages alone are sufficient. There are a few very advanced chapters in the latest edition that were moved online for some reason, I think to make the books slimmer and less intimidating perhaps. But those are just two chapters for advanced plus stuff in the latest edition but otherwise those books are complete. Again, you need to look for the root of the issue somewhere else

Hi, my verbal score is not improving. It is stagnant in the range of 30-33. I have studied for GMAT for 4 months now(2 months Jamboree classes and 2 months self study - working fulltime, around 2 hours in weekdays, 5-7 hours weekends). Last week I scored 650 on the official GMAT (Q48, V31). Materials covered so far - Verbal OG Qs. Can anyone please help how I can increase the verbal score?

Excellent quant score. I suggest you to maybe use Manhattan Prep verbal guides and GMAT Ninja SC videos

Thanksfor the suggestion. I will check out the videos. Does manhattan guides really help for Verbal? Just asking coz I have heard very mixed reviews.

There are plenty of free counselling services out there, but those services are only offered to the colleges which are partnered up by those agents who will get a commission when you get admission. So I would recommend first do a thorough research from your side. Short list few colleges and then approach the agents which might be partnered up with those colleges. Because at times these agents can give a biased opinion on colleges which will fetch them a higher commission.

There are few profile evaluation groups here , you can share your profile there and the experts will suggest you some colleges

Is there any provider apart from MBA.com for Focus edition practice tests?
MBA.com provides two tests but I would like to save them for later.

Hi. The best place is probably the mba.com they maintain leaders details and information about the test structure and so and so forth and it’s the original source recommend checking the official website for test structure information


I have not checked so you may want to pay a visit to the test providers to check them out. They are not many of them. Manhattan, experts Global, and that’s about it.

There is more than to test that you can take. I was able to take about four before seeing repeat questions.

hello, I’m Aum, in November 2022 I took my CAT( an exam in India) exam, I got a good score and got a call from top IIM, but I was sure that I wanted to go abroad for a master’s in finance. So in January I started preparing for the GMAT and booked my exam for February end because I’d heard that it is much easier than the CAT(Indian exam), I scored 530 in my first mock, and I arranged MGMAT all GMAT books and read the SC and CR one, post that, I completed CR from Powerscore and started solving OG questions but I could not find a good explanation there so I stopped solving OG. Thereafter, I Purchased Magoosh Prep, watched all the lectures and solved all post lecture’s questions for verbal and quants. After going through this course I got much confidence in Quants but it was not that helpful for verbal. It was around 1st week of Feb and I’ve watched a ton of videos depicting that many people scored more than 700 in just 1 month. So I postponed my exam to 20th March and I bought Egmat for verbal which helped me a lot but soon I realised that nothing could be done in just 1 month... moreover, I was very much frustrated because I had invested a lot (being a final year student) and was not scoring more than 60% accuracy in the medium level questions on EGMAT. I took my exam and scored a low score and cancelled it at that time and got very depressed and had some sort of fear in my mind from the GMAT. So I left it. After that, I had my graduation exams so I was busy. After all this, in July I had the option to start with the GMAT or IELTS so I chose IELTS because I was very much afraid of the GMAT, I took my IELTS and scored a 7.5 band. So at the end of July, I enrolled in the in-person coaching of the Princeton Review (Manya) only for the verbal, that was pretty helpful for me because in-person I could easily get my doubts solved and my confidence started boosting, in the meantime, i solved all the 500+ questions of Magoosh for quants and watched the video explanations of all of them and scored around 80% overall, but I gave a mock of Princeton review and I scored 590 after the completion of the test I analysed that I knew how to solve but I was very much hesitated and out of time during the test, so I realised that I need to work on my time limit, at the end of the batch, somewhere around 29th August, I got to know about Gmat club, so I enrolled myself for the forum quiz and the CAT’s which I got free because of my gmat Subscription. When I started solving questions there, I came to know that the main thing I lacked was practice with good explanations. One day, I found Gmatninja 13 week plan, I found it very luring and thought to just stick with that and right now I’m in week 4 of that plan and since I’m preparing for Gmat full time so I’m completing the work for 1 week in 3 days and hope to complete that plan till oct end. But what I realised after coming to the GMAT club is that I have no mentors to teach me about GMAT, if I had them, I would not have wasted that much time and money and now I’m in a situation In which all the time I feel guilty because I had invested a lot of time and money and have not shown any positive result. So please guide me on how shall I proceed.

your story is inspiring. you have already done a lot. I would suggest just believe in yourself. you are at a stage where you have to guide others(like me). we all are in a same boat, do not lose the hope.

I am just starting my Gmat preparation. I am starting with Magoosh 7 days trial. I am a working professional. I do not have much idea regarding GMAT. In the 7 days trials, the quant practice questions i was able to do, but i could not understand the verbal questions, i was not able to answer any of the verbal questions. Also any suggestions which platform to choose for preparation.
