Sorry...

Daily reading Habit of Good written material to improve comprehension and reading speed.

Skills gained in S.C and CR sections like getting meaning / sense of written material , using Logic etc. Also, while locating section from which Question is asked, read somelines above and below that part to get more details..

All Skills acquired during SC and C.R are applied in RC.

Read Economist or Financial times etc.

Read different columns like science, social , business. This will help.

If you have older version , it is sufficient.

Anything to ask ?

Hello... I am also new to GMAT. Due to stagnation in Role and Responsibilities at my current job and upon discussing with a few friends who have done MBA, I have decided to take a serious attempt at GMAT. Haven’t decided any timeline yet, but keeping in mind the work pressure I feel I have to give atleast 6 months for preparation.

Can anyone suggest a good preparation strategy? I work for about 70 hours per week(6 days).

Soumya... 70 hours per week is very tough job routine. Hopefully you will manage your time and studies.

Need continuity and patience.

First of all gove GMAT diagnostic test , on official Website. You will know your capabilities , strength and weakness. And also you will know about GMAT exam.

Its upto you .. how you can manage.. 10-15 hours per week... If your Maths and English skills are better.

You will know by appearing in GMAT diagnostic test.

I took my first test after 1 month learning and i only get 550, 21 for verbal and 45 for quant. Do you have any source that could help me to improve my verbal.? I struggle with sc and rc, and I don’t know how to deal with them.

Magoosh has an app that has VARC questions, which I found to be quite helpful. There are video explanations and written explanations for the questions as well

Definitely no If you are planning to write the CAT, you should definitely attend the (TIME). They mainly focus on the CAT
But for the GMAT no They’ll tell you we have the most qualified instructor in the country for the GMAT But it’s a lie
I was there for the same reason and I found out that I learned more about CAT than the GMAT

Nice to share your experience...

You need to improve Basics and for that Manhattan Guides are best All the Quant and Verbal. And solve + Practice Official Guide Questions. After that appear on Official Free practice test you will know your strengths and weaknesses. And improve your weak areas and your approach should be to gain more skills rather than focus on score / course completion.

Hopefully, it will prove helpful for you.

shishir1344, Best starting point would be giving official mock from mba.com without study...u will get to know ur weakness and stregths ...then study manhattan guide which are best to learn concepts...then solve Official guides then solve Kaplan/manhattan/vertias questions....Now start giving mock and analyze the score and improve
