I know this topic was introduced months and months ago, but I just came back from a part-time info session at NYU...

i have heard that there part-time program has
1. limited access to career services
The part-time program at NYU has it's own career services center (NYU Stern's Career Center for Working Professionals, CCWP). The reason is that people in the Langone program tend to be working individuals who cannot attend classes during the day. Therefore, the part-time students are assumed to be unable to go to the recruiting events scheduled for the full-time students (because you're supposed to be at work). The CCWP is used by Langone students and all Stern MBA alumni, and has weekday evening and Saturday hours. Separate recruiting events are set up for the Langone students to fit into their schedules. I think the rep said that usually these events are held on the weekends.

3. Your degree as PT will in GM and not in finance or something. Is this true ?
Langone was actually Stern's first MBA program, and the full-time program came out of the part-time. Therefore, the two are the same except for career services offered. When you graduate, you get an MBA in General Management with the ability to specialize in up to three different areas. I think they have 22 specializations available.
Hope that helps!
