Hi guys, I plan to start an MBA in 2023/24 and wanted to start curating my profile now. But I’ve had a major challenge getting a response from a lot of these top consultants mentioned on P&Q despite a couple follow ups.

Is that a common experience and is there something I can do to get around that? Or should I consider this as a major red flag and stay away from such consultants?

Appreciate your advice.

It would be great if you can share why you need a consultant. Maybe someone on this forum addresses your query for which a consultant would charge a hefty amount.
Since you are planning for 23/24, in my opinion you have decent time available. I will not suggest someone go for a consultant until and unless one is short on time or stuck in some unsolvable situation or really looking for case-specific info/help not easily accessible in public domain.
These days a lot of info is available on blogs and youtube, and when you dig info it really boosts your knowledge and confidence.
I know I have not answered your query exactly, just in case if it helps !!!

As an admissions consultant, we are usually focused on the current application season. Are you actually looking to procure services from a consultant or just seeking general advice or help as you prepare a year in advance of your target application season? If the latter, then it's not surprising many consultancies would not take your call as it's not an appropriate use of their time given their current demands for the 2021-2022 season.

That being said, at Admissionado we offer something called the Advanced Planning Program. It's an opportunity to work with consultant on curating your profile. You have an initial "Discovery Call" to create a plan of action and then you touch base with the consultant about once a month to check in and adjust the plan. You can craft your APP to meet your budget and needs, but it sounds like this is what you might be looking for in a consultant. Alternatively, we do offer hourly support if you want to book segments of time with a consultant to talk through your profile and get strategic advice about how to position yourself for your upcoming application. As mentioned above, this could be in part due to the fact that a lot of consultants are focused on the current application cycle.
