Hey guys,
I am essentially clueless about the whole process, so please bear with me.
I am really thinking about getting a MBA after medical school and before residency.
My profile
Undergrad: UC Davis
Degree: biology
gpa: 3.6
I was not in a fraternity.
Tons of EC volunteering in the hospital
Biology research - published a research paper
bring care to underserved native american tribes
Taught biology/chemistry classes
But this was all in undergrad and I assume would not mean much when I start medical school.
I am a US citizen from California (born and raised in case you were wondering).
I am an Asian male. Do bschools care about ethnicity? Affirmative action is HUGE for medical school.
I plan to work in health care administration. And, I got some other plans.
My target is harvard.
And I want to do a 1 year Bschool track too.
What do you think is the target GMAT score that I should be aiming for?
What extra curriculars should I be focused on? I'll be pretty busy with medical school and all...
What else should I be concerned with on my application?
I am not very stoked about studying for another test. The MCAT was SUCH a pain, but I might as well take it now while I have some free time before medical school.
Thank you in advance for any and all advice/comments. Thanks.
And just to be clear, I will not be competing head to head with anyone here. I will be applying in 4 years or so.
