hi,

havin slight doubt of the first qns as i keep getting 2.461m instead of any of the answers given (can anyone solve it?) and for the second qns, wanted to check whether the answer should be "Cannot say". thanks.

for q1 I am getting 2.473
(100/93) * 2.3 = 2.473 so option C

for q2 should be "cannot say" as we have no info about the closing value of sterling for yesterday nor we have %change in value.

For

Q1 ) Given turnover is down by 7% from last year.
Say turnover for previous day is x mil .

So x - (7% of x) = 2.3
solving it we get x=2.47. Option C

Q2) Given CP/WBI is constant and from table it can be inferred that for Sterling change on the day = +0.42, hence previous day it must have been 70.72-0.42 = 70.30

so 70.72/68.00 = 70.30/x

solving we get x = 67.59 ~ 67.60 Option A ?
