Is there anyone out there who is on the waitlist for spring 2010? I got waitlisted on 11/5 and will retake the GMAT this month.

I'm still waiting to hear back in the first place... Don't know if I've gotten in, waitlisted or rejected. Anyone else in the same position?

May I ask when you applied?

I got wait listed about 2 weeks ago, don't think my shot is too good at this point..... Anybody else wait listed?

I have read in the previous posts that NYU does accept people off the waitlist, but I don't know how it is going to be this year. The website still says they are accepting applications for spring 2010. When I read the FAQ for waitlisters, I got an impression that if I won't take any action to improve my application and just wait, I will eventually get rejected in late January. What do you think?

Well, I am fully aware of the fact that there won't be that many spots available for waitlisters and totally agree with you what you said. But I am just trying to do the best I can by retaking the GMAT, as I believe it is the only component of my application that is really weak. It was a bit of a surprise to me that I got waitlisted as my score was even below their 80% range.

If you don't mind my asking, did you do something to enhance your application while you were on the waitlist last time, such as submitting another recommendation letter, essay or a new GMAT score?

I will be applying for the Fall 2010 NYU part-time program. Can please someone tell me what are my chances of getting in w/the following stats:

GPA 3.6
GMAT 630
Work Experience 3.5 yrs (will be in May 2010) Big 4 - Investment Management sector (FS), was promoted this year
CPA
Extra curriculum activities are decent
Recommendations decent (will try to get recommendations from partner, manager, and cfo from one of my clients (who is nyu alum)



I know my GMAT is not very good, but right now i can't retake the exam due to the personal circumstances.
