"the' in "is maybe the more difficult for analysis" indicates that we need a superlative there. So "A" & "D" are out.

may be is not the term to say some thing with some degree of certainty. So "C" and "E" are out.

So the right answer is "B"

Sir daagh

Can you touch base on more & most for these 2 options keeping in mind the probability? Also in general sentences.

(B) is probably the most difficult to analyze
(D) is probably the more difficult to analyze

The word ‘all’ refers to more than two and several in general; if there are only two factors involved then we must call them as ‘both’ rather than 'all'.
Point 2 is that, ‘more’ is used only when two factors are involved. ‘The most' is used when more than two are involved. I do not think the adverb ‘probably’ plays a role in choosing between ‘the more’ and ‘the most’.

(A) is maybe the more difficult for analysis
(B) is probably the most difficult to analyze
(C) is maybe the most difficult for analysis
(D) is probably the more difficult to analyze
(E) is, it may be, the analysis that is most difficult

Hello DmitryFarber,
Is C option wrong because of "For analysis" ? Can you please suggest- except "FOR ANALYSIS" is there any other difference between B and C
