1). The farm has more than twice as many cows as it has pigs -->at most, there are 13 pigs, but not sufficient alone
2). The farm has more than 12 pigs --> not alone sufficient

Combine: --> 13 pigs & 27 cows

1). The farm has more than twice as many cows as it has pigs -->at most, there are 13 pigs, but not sufficient alone

how is it inferred that pigs are at most 13.

is it c= 2p

c or p =40

Of the 60 animals on a certain farm, 2/3 are either pigs or cows -
c+p =2/3 * 60 =40

1). The farm has more than twice as many cows as it has pigs.
2). The farm has more than 12 pigs

If we combine stat 1 and stat 2, then
p>12
c>2p
Lets consider p=14, then c would be greater than 28(2x14=28)
14+29=43 -not correct because c+p =40
only if p=13 then c can be(greater than 13x2=26) 27
