you silly americans.
Oh, Rhyme, you should definitely join the pool. A few years ago a guy in G's lab got involved. He's from Venezuela and knows jack about basketball. Anyway, he won the whole **** thing, even though about halfway through the tournament he asks me, "These numbers, next to team names....what are they?"
(For the uninitiated: those numbers would be the tournament rankings. A little hint: if you have a #1 team versus the #16, chances are pretty good that #16 is going down. Just an FYI.)
I don't pay attention to the rankings either because they get in the way of my themed brackets. Last year, one bracket's theme was "Heartland4Eva" and it had Iowa and Wisconsin going head to head in the championship game. Oddly, it didn't win.
This kind of situation drives me nuts. We had the 2006 Word Cup (transaltion: FIFA world cup= football - or soccer to ya Americans-) pool last year and the clown who took it had no idea whatsoever of the game. And he beat about 100+ people who actually consider ourselves relative experts.
