Though I don't find any of the sentences well written but I think inthis case I will go with A.

OK. Use of correct modifier. 'Originally developed for detecting air pollutants modifies' 'a technique'

(B) Originally developed for detecting air pollutants, having the ability to analyze the chemical elements in almost any substance without destroying it, a technique called proton-induced x-rays emission

Modifier problem. 'Originally developed for detecting air pollutants' needs to modify a noun that follows it. Here having follows the modifier.

(C) A technique originally developed for detecting air pollutants, called proton-induced x-rays emission, which can quickly analyze the chemical elements in almost any substance without destroying it

Modifier problem. A technique originally developed for detecting air pollutantsneeds to modify a noun that follows it. Here it is modifying called

my choice is A with proper modifier (originally develop... technique...) and proper reference (substance and it). nonetheless, i think the proximity of it with substance and elements are a bit confusing. It can be argued as unclear reference.

nonetheless, I think e can be correct too. The biggest proper is proper modification. I think the uage of has is okay.

I think even "A" has an issue of pronoun reference "it"...is the "it" refering to the substance or the chemical elements ??? Thoughts plz...
