In all the other cases it appears as if the archaeologists made the discovery over 5 thousand years ago, which is not the case.

Archaeologists have discovered that, appositive, Mesopotamian cooks were preparing chicken with coriander and tamarind, just as Egyptian cooks are still doing today.
