Over the last 3 months, the average time spent by visitors on the Zapto homepage that links to a collection of other useful websites has steadily gone up by 15%. During this time, the time required to access Zapto’s home page has gone down by 25%. Therefore, the reduction in time required to access the home page must have led to visitors spending more time on that page.

Which of the following, if true, casts the most serious doubt on the conclusion drawn above?

A.The overall World Wide Web traffic increase by 15% in the past 3 months.
B.The enhancements that Zapto made to its home page has still not made the home page as fast as its direct competitor's.
C.The list of websites accessible from Zapto’s home page gets updated every week.
D.A live stream of Zapto’s popular and well received TV programming has been recently made viewable from Zapto’s home page.
E.Surveys show that Zapto’s customers are no more satisfied with the layout of the home page now than they were 3 months ago.

A. Irrelevant

B. Strengthens the conclusion.

C. Irrelevant.

D. This option actually gives an alternative reason as to why the average time spent on the website might have increased. Thus, acts as a weakener. Hold.

E. Irrelevant.

Thus, option D is the best choice.

Facts:
1. Zapto homepage links to a collection of other useful websites.
2. the average time spent by visitors on the Zapto homepage has steadily gone up by 15%.
3. the time required to access Zapto’s home page has gone down by 25%. Just so you know, it is called access time. suppose first it take 5 sec to access, now it is down to 3 sec.

Conclusion:
the reduction in time required to access the home page must have led to visitors spending more time on that page.

Pre-thinking: Suppose you have a 2g connection and you want to open google.com .I suppose it might take upto 10 sec to open. by now anyone will be on the edge. let say we upgraded to 3g now it will take 1 sec. now think of the conclusion. Why you want to spend more time on google. Finish your search and move on. clear there is a flaw or some catch such as one have to scroll down to get the intended section of site they want to visit.

A.The overall World Wide Web traffic increase by 15% in the past 3 months. --- world wide traffic can increase for many reasons such as population increase. may be any of those are not coming to this.

B.The enhancements that Zapto made to its home page has still not made the home page as fast as its direct competitor's. --- it means after improvement it is loading faster then previous value (10s) but still its less then competitor's (.5sec). however this is not even defining how one is spending more time on homepage.out

C.The list of websites accessible from Zapto’s home page gets updated every week. --- unless one is trying to visit every website one by one, this is not going to impact. long shot, but possible.

D.A live stream of Zapto’s popular and well received TV programming has been recently made viewable from Zapto’s home page. ---- I am assuming programming means different TV programs and not code. either ways visitors will come and spend some time on those. moreover it is added recently. and that is why time stats are different then previous value. this seems to be a better option then C.

E.Surveys show that Zapto’s customers are no more satisfied with the layout of the home page now than they were 3 months ago. ---- out of scope.
