Hi,

Can anyone kindly verify if I have the correct formula for 3 groups venn diagram or not?

The groups are : A, B, C

Total unique participants= A + B + C - AB - BC- AB -2ABC + none of ABC

2) Total = n(A) + n(B) + n(C) – n(A and B) – n(B and C) – n(C and A) + n(A and B and C) + n(No Set)

I've noticed on practice questions ( and I remember one question on the exam) where they give the number in both sets rather than a&b a&c. But yes I think of it as
g1+g2+g3-(number in both groups)-2(number in three groups)+neither=total

Thanks. I remember getting a 3 set question in my exam and I forgot to multiply the 'all the three groups' with 2.

it's correct, but I did not memorize the formula, it's not hard to evaluate
