I think you want to look at where you want to be (if you care) after graduation. If you want to stay in upstate NY, then I'm sure Simon will get you where you want to go. I would think almost anywhere else (except maybe NYC), Vandy is going to have the upper hand. The brand recognition of Vandy is much better and they are trending upwards compared to Rochester. Unless you really want to stay in NY or can't pass up the money, I'm temped to say this is a no brainier.

With regards to the CMC stuff - take reviews with a grain of salt and talk to current students.

I do care where I am post graduation. I only had one New York school on my entire list and it ended up making the cut since my profile fit and so on. I try to keep in mind 'the grass isn't always greener' but I really would like to get out of WNY, especially Buffalo. I am hoping to connect with some current students ASAP, since my decision is due May 2nd! Thanks again for your input, and am still leaning towards owen.

As an international, I can relate well with the money issues. I won't be attending Carlson for similar reasons. Fortunately, I got into other schools (somewhat lower ranked) that are good for my goals and they gave me nice scholarships. Vandy is great but it is OKAY to attend Simon and work towards you goal. Relax, you aren't giving up a top 10-15/Ivy League program. I think you can live with that :)

In case you don't go for an MBA this year, you can at least ask the schools to defer your offer.
