I think its really big on the West coast (particularly in So Cal). When I was out visiting Haas - I actually met a hiring manager in the airport and he mentioned the a pretty significant portion of his shortlisted group was Anderson students.

Its also big enough that they reference Anderson in an episode of Entourage.

Are there any Anderson students out here? I am really having a hard time contacting and trying to get to know any Anderson students. Hard to find any student ambassadors online.

GmatPapa: As a student at UCLA Anderson, I've experienced the school's brand to be very strong. First, we have 37,000 alumni across the globe which allows students to find alumni connections at nearly all major companies in the US as well as numerous firms abroad. In addition, the majority of firms across the country that actively recruit for MBA hires or summer interns invest in coming to Anderson to provide information on their companies and network with Anderson students. Finally, the school is very focused on ensuring that its students are competitive and have recently rolled out a curriculum overall that corresponds directly with recruiter feedback and their understanding of the type of courses that will maximize students' competitiveness in the workforce.

Good Evening Everyone!

Congratulations to everyone that is taking this exciting step and submitting applications to MBA programs. I am a FEMBA student at Anderson, and wanted to make myself available to anyone that has questions about the application process or the experience. I know there is a lot to take in, weigh and worry about as this waiting game progresses.

One of the most frequent questions I get about the process is the about the interviews. The "Super Saturday" admission interviews can be daunting, but they are administered by students and alums that are passionate about the program, and just want to learn more about you guys. They are not gatekeepers, and although it is easier said then done, just take a breath relax, and treat it like another opportunity to learn about the program and get that added dimension beyond rankings speculation, and admission statistics. Best of luck, and I will be checking in on this thread to see if I can be of assistance!

Hey guys, my submission status still says "Submitted". What's up with that?? When can I expect that to change? Is it normal that 2 weeks after the R1 deadline the status remains unchanged?

Has anyone submitted Rd1 through the consortium. I am trying to now but have come across a problem on the application when inputting UCLA's essay. The text box has a ax limit set for 4000 characters but it is a 750 word essay, which is a little more than 5 letters per word with no spaces. Has anyone else encountered this and if so how did you resolve this problem?

I think the chances are slim, coz haven't heard of anybody whose application status has changed from "Submitted"~

note that last year's deadline for R1 was oct 20, a week earlier than this year.

Good point! November 12th was the 4th Friday after the submission date last year. This year, November 18th is the 4th Friday. So, if history repeats itself, look for potential invites later this week.

Just got an interview invite email for the full time program. I submitted my application about five days before the deadline.

My stats: F/3.9/770/3 years WE (at matriculation) in Venture Capital

Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard back yet! Still anxiously waiting to hear from Stanford and Haas so I know how you feel.
