I surprisingly received an information package on the Masters in Finance from LBS in Feb. 05. After going through the package, I became really interested in the program and I believe that it better fits my career objectives of working in finance as a fund manager. I finally applied for Sept 05 intake about 1 month ago and about 1 week ago, I received the news that I was shortlisted for a personal interview with an LBS alumnus. I am very excited and will see how it turns out. It is actually the only school and program I applied to this year. If it doesn't work out, I think I may do an mba at a school that has a heavier finance concentration, at least, it's what I think for now. I will write more about my personal experience in the "share your experience" forum as it unfolds.

You might want to check out Purdue (Krannert), Carnegie Mellon, UCLA, Indiana, and University of Texas at Austin.

All good schools. Relatively equal in terms of difficult to gain access to. Cornell is the best finance school. Michigan / Cornell are solid consulting schools.

Getting a scholarship at any of the schools would be difficult.
