As always, my advice remains that applicants must know what they are seeking and what the school can provide. There are many resources to refer to in order to find out that information: students, recent alumni,
BusinessWeek, and
the program's site, among others.
With any program, every student must be aware that Career Services does not just hand you a card for 1 Free Job at Goldman/Google/Bain/your-first-choice-employer. In fact, seeking employment in the US for non-US citizens in particular can be a challenge - not impossible, but yes, a challenge. Use this knowledge to guide you in your decision making, debt planning, and career search, but don't let a few graduates' friends posting on a forum deter you from doing that real research.
