Re: Individual section guides or combined bibles? [#permalink]
what would you advise for tuning and practice in Quant? I personally think I am lacking in Arithmetic. So should I get the MGMAT Number properties guide? I am a little reluctant to get all the MGMAT guides. As i mentioned, I already have an old copy of MGMAT sentence correction, so should I get the PowerScore verbal bible to help me in CR and RC? If I buy just the PowerScore CR book, will I loose out on RC in a big way?
PS :my RC in GMATprep(the only CAT I've given yet,) wasn't bad i thought.

I hadn't looked at your site before this , I did just now and it seems to be pretty good.

The MGMAT Math Foundations has been beefed up to a 500+ page book, so it is great value but I don't know if you need it.

I think what I am looking for is tricks and shortcuts to the difficult problems. I have a process for easy topics, but want some strategies and tricks for the difficult ones. Does MGMAT Math Foundation fit the criteria? or would you suggest something else?
I practiced only OGs for my DS and I kind of felt they were far too easy compared to the GmatPrep and the Kaplan DS Quiz. That is why I am a little worried for DS. I don't want it to ruin my Quant because now i have kind of shifted my focus on Verbal(v33 was an eye-opener).
Would you say the level of DS section in the actual GMAT exam is closer to that of OG's or GmatPrep's?

MGMAT Math foundations does not have hard questions.
You may want to look into MGMAT Advanced Quant instead (though complex questions on the GMAT are usually simple ones that are either convoluted or involve multiple time-consuming steps)

If you are scoring Q49, our Foundations of Math book is definitely not for you. The Advanced Quant book is a much better idea, although you might well benefit from the Number Properties book; it has plenty in there for the advanced student. Both books have Data Sufficiency sections--the Advanced Quant book has a section on DS strategies, and the Number Properties book, like most of our quant guides, has a section for practicing rephrasing DS out of the Official Guide.
