Answer to the 1st question should be B. Gamers 'fear' that gaming development 'might' be reaching a standstill. They are disappointed because many new games have disappointed and a and a lot of games are simply recycled versions of other games.
Answer to 2nd question should be E. The 1st paragraph talks of a golden age of gaming. The 2nd para talks how that golden age might be ending. Two contrasting scenarios.
Your answer here is certainly a true statement, but it's not the OA (I only know the OA for the first question, so stay with me here).
You have to break apart the author's intent to get to the right answer for both the options. The passage starts off by saying "The video game industry has enjoyed a “golden-age” in the recent decade. However, many expert say that this prime time for video games might soon be over."
There it is. That's the main point of the passage. It's gonna talk about the reason that the prime time aka "golden-age" of video games, which has lasted in the recent decade, might be coming to an end. While the first paragraph sets up the argument, the second paragraph supports the idea that the first two sentences sets up.
Which is why I argue that the answer to the second question is D.
Now, going back to the first question. The answer is C (which we know to be the OA!) because the question is asking: "According to the passage, the “golden age” of video games is over because..." It's asking us the underlying cause of the end of video games. Answers A & B are the effect of the point C <-- lack of innovation! It is therefore the lack of innovation that is bringing an end to the golden-age of video games.
