Re: Is q^2 an odd integer? (1) q is an odd integer (2) q^4 is a [#permalink]
Hi Bunuel,

q^4 is an odd integer --> if q=odd then the answer would be YES, but if q=\sqrt{3} then the answer would be NO, since \sqrt{3} is not an integer at all. Not sufficient.

My Question is if Q is equal to root 3 then Q square will be 3 which is odd. Which makes it sufficient to answer that Q square will be odd.

Please clarify.

There was a formatting error, it should be: " if \(q=\sqrt[4]{3}\) then the answer would be NO, since \(q^2=\sqrt{3}\) is not an integer at all".
