Washington Foster 2012 - Calling All Applicants

It was much smaller than I had anticipated, only 35-40 people altogether but it did seem like there may have been a few folks who didn't make it. This is only the second year they have had the early round so I would expect R2 to be 3-4 times as large...maybe bigger depending on expected yield? My friends who have already been through the program said their evaluation days were something like 170, fwiw.

It was a lot of fun though. The small group exercises were awesome, it really helps it not seem like a six hour interview! The thing I was probably most surprised (and impressed) to see was the number of people from out of state. My sample size was small, but of the maybe 10 people I talked to, two were from Utah, one from Portland, and one from Wash DC, all in town just for evaluation day.

Do you know how many will be accepted from those invited to evaluation day?

I actually don't know how many will be accepted, but I'm in! Just got the call yesterday afternoon I imagine there might be some word out soon, adcom gave 3/16 as the deadline for notifications.

Reviewing past interview questions... I assume one should expect the usual, similar to the goals essay?

- Walk through resume
- Why MBA, why Foster, why now
- What is a weakness in your app
- detail short term goal
- how your subordinates/peers would describe you
- contribution to peers

a few oddballs?
- definition of success/failure
- Plan if not admitted
- describe leadership style
