please help - a bit urgent

Hello,
Thanks in advance for reading my post.
I have a peculiar problem with respect to my transcript.
By mistake, my undergrad university mentioned my father's name with a suffix (the practice is too common in india to justify to anyone) in one of the mark sheets (first year of graduation). My name in rest of all my documents including 2nd year, 3rd year mark sheet and even on the degree certificate is the same without the suffix. when i approached my university for mark sheet, they suggested that it will take some time for them since they will have to first correct your father's name and then we will issue your transcript.
the deadline for school to which i have applied was 30th april, i consulted to them initially and concerned person suggested that "you apply with notarized mark sheets and we will review your application on the basis of notarized mark sheets, and you can be interviewed on the basis of submitted mark sheet".The concerned further mentioned that conditional offer will be given if you get through and you have to submit your transcript in a given time frame.
Now, the concerned person i interacted with is away and now the person i am interacting is saying that they can not review my application without transcript and i should delay my application by a year, i am really surprised to note how easily they say "delay by a year".
i really found this a non professional attitude, but the problem is that i can not become aggressive in my communication to them since both are admission directors and i am not sure that anyone them might interview me ?
please guide
thanks
